Their music has been described as altern-acoustic, soulful and cinematic, evoked by their colourful instrumentation, intimate vocals and world influences.
Continuing in the tradition of female singer-songwriter-instrumentalists, Genero’s first CD “Overture” showcases intense poetic songwriting with skilled piano and guitar tracks, ambient percussions, warm string arrangements and stunning vocal harmonies.
Having shared the stage with bands like Blue Rodeo, played as soloists with orchestras around the world, received airplay on Top 40 radio stations, and snagged several awards like FACTOR Independent and ACUM, band members, Talia and Samia, combine their rich musical experiences, poetic drive and creativity to bring us the compelling sounds of Genero.
Their first collaboration for a peace event in 2005 marked the duo's birth, and garnered loads of positive feedback. Event organizers had this to say:

Genero released their first album, Overture, October 26th, 2006 with a Concert and Album Launch.
